Earlier today, we had reported about Tumbbad 2, the much-anticipated sequel to 2018 film Tumbbad, going on shooting floors. Now the team has unveiled the first motion poster of their film. 

Featuring the idol of Poorti Ki Devi, the motion poster looks captivating and captures a sense of anticipation and suspense, also helping the audience connect with the mystical energy of the universe. While the tagline reads, ‘Pralay aayega,’ alluding to a catastrophic event that lies ahead, the makers captioned the post, “Every saint has a past. Every sinner has a future.  The legacy of sin returns, the cycle of greed continues… Welcome to the world of Tumbbad, once again!” The haunting music only underlines the thrilling nature of its premise.

A few weeks ago, the Tumbbad 2 had officially announced Nawazuddin Siddiqui onboarding the project. The Tumbbad sequel is being directed by Adesh Prasad and backed by actor-producer Sohum Shah under his banner Sohum Shah Films, with Pen Studios, headed by veteran producer Dr. Jayantilal Gada, the powerhouse behind blockbusters such as RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi. The distribution will be done by Pen Marudhar. Sanyukta Kaza is the editor for the film.

Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, Tumbbad (2018) gradually earned a cult status among cinephiles over the years. However, it’s 2024 re-release further amplified its legacy, where the horror-fantasy became the highest-grossing Hindi re-release of all times.
