The 98th edition of the prestigious awards event will take place on March 15, Sunday, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. However, those in India can only watch Oscars 2026 in the wee hours of Monday due to the difference in time. Conan O'Brien is set to come back as the Oscars host for a second year in a row.
When and Where to Watch Oscars 2026
The Oscars 2026 red carpet is set to start at 03:30 AM on Monday, with the primary awards ceremony scheduled to begin an hour later. JioHotstar is streaming the live event, with an optional replay option post the live ceremony. For the television audience, channels such as Star Movies Select, Colors Infinity, and Star Movies are set to broadcast the Academy Awards in real time. It is expected to go on for around four hours.
Indian Representation at the Academy Awards
As reported before, filmmaker Geeta Gandbhir has multiple nominations at the 98th Academy Awards this year. Her film The Perfect Neighbor is nominated in the Best Documentary Feature category, whereas her other work The Devil is Busy has received a Best Documentary Short Film Oscar nod. Geeta is not the only Indian representative at the Oscars 2026. Priyanka Chopra will also serve as a presenter in the prestigious event.
