Spider-Man, or Peter Parker, asks Bruce Banner for help to suppress his mutating DNA when evil takes over in the new trailer of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The new trailer gives a more detailed idea of what to expect from the fourth instalment of the Tom Holland Spider-Man franchise.
The trailer starts with Spider-Man turning hostile and losing his mind when being attacked by the Scorpion. He even destroys a police car when he fights against Mac Gargan. As he struggles with an identity crisis after the world forgot he was Spider-Man, he approaches Bruce Banner for help controlling his mutating DNA. However, it doesn't work, and additionally, Sadie Sink's villainous character starts to wreak havoc across New York. His pining for MJ also seems to affect his superpowers. The trailer also gives us a deeper look at Punisher's role in the story and teases the involvement of The Hand's ninja warriors.
Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Wonder Man, which he co-created and served as an executive producer, has directed the upcoming film. The film's script has been written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal are producing the film. Columbia Pictures, Marvel Studios, and Pascal Pictures are backing the film.
Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are returning as MJ and Ned Leeds. The cast also features Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Michael Mando as Scorpion, Marvin Jones III as Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher. Tramell Tillman, Liza Colon-Zayas, and Eman Esfandi are also part of the film.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is slated to open in theatres on July 31.
