With the final season of comedy series Hacks premiering on April 9 on HBO MAX, Actor-standup comedian Hannah Einbinder recently shared her opinion on AI creators in the Hollywood film industry.

Einbinder crashed generative AI creators, labelling them as “losers” who are "trying to rob real creatives", as she dissected the tech trend that continues to divide during a press conference for the HBO Max show. According to Slash Film, she also noted, “The people who make this stuff are losers”

The actor further said, “They’re not artists. They’re not creative. And they’ve wanted their whole lives to be special. And they’re not special.” She also added, “They’re trying to rob real creative people of our gifts. And you can’t. And even if you try, you will never be cool. You guys suck. No one likes you. Anyone who’s near you is there because they crave power and access over any ethical standard. You are a loser. You will never be cool. And you probably had a rolly backpack in high school. I wanna put your head in the toilet and flush.”

Jen Statsky, a co-creator and executive show producer of the series, concurred that in endeavouring to make the creative process “easier” with the help of AI, creatives will be affected while executives continue to profit.

Statsky further voiced her worries: “I wish that I believed that it was in better hands, but I don’t,” she said. “And until there’s guardrails put on, until there is some stoppage mechanism to make sure that we are protecting humanity both in art and people’s livelihoods, it ain’t good.”

The series packed with the cast of Jean Smart, Megan Stalter, Robby Hoffman, Christina Hendricks, Kaitlin Oslon, Paul W Downs, Jane Adams, Julianne Nicholson, Helen Hunt, Christopher McDonald, Mark Indelicato, Johnny Sibily, Rose Abdoo, Poppy Liu, Lauren Weedman, Caitlin Reilly, Dan Bucatinsky, Lorenza Izzo, Joe Mande, Angela Elayne Gibbs, Steph Tolev, Iris Bahr, and Luenell.

The final and fifth season of Hacks by Lucia Aniello premieres on April 9 on HBO Max.
