In the recently released drama miniseries, Black Rabbit, Jason Bateman is seen attacking aggressive loan sharks and also handling a pressurising family conflict. While the ending of the series, also starring Jude Law, has been turning heads, Bateman has now opened up about how he prepared for the intense stunt sequences in the show.

Speaking to People at the show's premiere in New York, Bateman said that he had no specific training for the show, adding, "but lots of stretching. Us old-timers need to make sure everything is loosened up." The series is created by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman.

For Jude, his relationship with Jason was restricted to a laptop screen for a long period of time before the series went on floors. "Honestly, for about a year and a half, we only met on Zoom when we were in the writing room or taking notes and giving notes on the scripts as they were being developed," the actor said at the premiere. Of course, that impression changed as filming began. He described Bateman as "incredibly astute [and] funny," adding, "I knew he would be funny and smart. He’s very Jason Bateman." Previously, Jude also likened working with Jason to playing a sport, where instead of competing against each other, the goal is to elevate each other's performance.

Black Rabbit features Jude Law and Jason Bateman as two brothers, Jake and Vince Friedken, who find themselves entangled in a complex web of relationships and debt. Jake, the charismatic owner of the New York City restaurant Black Rabbit, is faced with challenges when his troublemaker brother Vince returns, bringing with him a ginormous debt that threatens to disrupt Jake's life and business.

The logline for the series, which has eight episodes, describes it as "a propulsive thrill ride and character examination about the way an unbreakable bond between two brothers can shatter their world — and everything in its orbit."
