Filmmaker Matt Reeves and DC Studios have been shrouding their upcoming sequel to The Batman in secrecy so far. Even the latest revelation from Reeves does not give anything about its plot away, except that it is sure to excite fans of the superhero genre. In a recent conversation with actor Josh Horowitz, the filmmaker revealed that The Batman Part II will pay greater attention to Bruce Wayne as compared to the first part. Earlier films tend to focus on how Batman came to be, but Reeves promises something new in the The Batman sequel. “In a lot of the other films, which I love, once you get past the origin tale, which we did not quite do, but we did something that referred to his origins, then you start telling the Rogues Gallery story and that character’s sort of arch,” stated Reeves. He added, “But I never wanted to lose (Robert Pattinson) at the centre of these stories, and so that is really what we set our aim on.”

Reeves also shared that the new aspect of the film's sequel played a key part in the choice of the antagonist. Without revealing much, he shared that The Batman Part II even has a villain who has not been featured in a DC film before.
