There is concrete news for DC fans regarding the much awaited sequel to The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson. Screenwriter and filmmaker Matt Reeves confirmed on Friday that the script for The Batman Part II is complete, sharing a teasing photograph on social media after a series of delays. Reeves posted on Instagram alongside co-writer Mattson Tomlin, captioning the image "Partners in Crime (Fighters)." While the majority of the screenplay's first page is blurred, a distinct Batman logo is visible at the top, offering a subtle confirmation of the project's progress.

The wait for an update about The Batman Part II has been considerable. The announcement regarding the sequel came in April 2022, just a month after Pattinson's original blockbuster hit theatres. After multiple postponements, the film is now slated for an October 01, 2027 release, approximately five years after its predecessor released and garnered over $772 million globally.

This positive development regarding The Batman sequel comes merely days before the theatrical premiere of James Gunn's Superman, starring David Corenswet in the titular role. Gunn recently addressed fan frustration regarding the delays in the scripting of The Batman Part II in a conversation with Entertainment Weekly. "Listen, we're supposed to get a script in June. I hope that happens. We feel really good about it," the DC chief stated, urging fans to let Reeves "write the screenplay in the amount of time he needs to write it."
