Rashmika Mandanna attended the pre-release event of Epic - First Semester as the chief guest. Aditya Haasan is making his directorial debut with the film, while Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya play the lead pair. Produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under their Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Media banners, the film is all set to hit the screens on September 11.
The trailer of the film was unveiled on Friday evening at the pre-release event. Talking about it, Rashmika Mandanna said that she liked it very much. “I liked the trailer. I usually watch K-Dramas, and this trailer feels like a good romantic comedy with a K-Drama vibe. I will definitely watch this film,” said Rashmika.
The actor said that Anand Deverakonda had messaged her and invited her to the trailer launch event as the chief guest. “I told him that I am shooting for Ranabaali in Hyderabad, but I said I would come. Anand is an extremely hardworking person, and I always want him to be happy. I want this film’s business to do extremely well,” said Rashmika about Epic - First Semester.
Talking about the female lead, Vaishnavi Chaitanya, Rashmika wished her the best. “Anand told me that your character is one of the most well-written female characters and that you have a sense of power on screen. I wish you all the best,” said Rashmika about Vaishnavi.
The actor added that she is proud of Aditya and happy for him. “Generally, you look like a shy person, but watching the trailer was completely different as you are showing something else. We are all big fans of your 90 The Middle Class Biopic, and now we have a lot of expectations from you because of that success. You have a huge responsibility with this film. All the best to you,” said Rashmika about director Aditya Haasan.
Rashmika Mandanna also gave an update about her upcoming film Ranabaali, in which she is paired opposite her husband Vijay Deverakonda. “Ranabaali is currently being shot, but I want to talk about Epic only for now. The film is releasing on September 11, and I am going to watch it with all of you. The premieres of the film will also begin on September 10,” she said.
