Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya are playing the lead roles in the upcoming film EPIC – First Semester. This is the second time the duo is teaming up as a lead pair after the success of their earlier film Baby. The film is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under their Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas banners. The film is all set to hit the screens on September 11.
The film’s promotions began a while ago, with the makers already releasing a few songs and the teaser. Now, the makers have unveiled the fourth song, titled ‘Sabco’, at a college event in Guntur. Both lead actors, Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, attended the event and interacted with the students.
The music is composed by Abdul Wahab, while Sanjith Hegde and Sithara Krishnakumar have lent their vocals to ‘Sabco’. Hesham’s composition brings a distinct and breezy vibe to the track, while the lyrics have been penned by Sri Harsha Emani.
The song was launched in the presence of students at VVIT College in Guntur, making it a lively and memorable event. With the promotional material of EPIC – First Semester already creating a buzz on social media, the team is leaving no stone unturned to build further excitement around the film.
The film is particularly important for both Anand and Vaishnavi, as they are looking to score a commercial success with this project. Interestingly, both actors tasted success with Baby in 2023 and went on to do a few films separately, but they did not perform well at the box office. For Anand Deverakonda, it has been almost two years since his last film was released in theatres.
Interestingly, director Aditya Haasan previously worked on the web series 90s – A Middle Class Biopic, which became a huge success. He is now making his big-screen directorial debut with EPIC – First Semester. The story of EPIC – First Semester is said to be a continuation of the web series.
The team is currently on an extensive promotional spree, visiting colleges and cities across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The continuous promotions are further amplifying the buzz around the film ahead of its grand worldwide theatrical release.
