Ahead of his birthday on May 20, actor Manchu Manoj, along with his wife Mounika Reddy, launched a social service organisation named Aikya Dhairya Sena Samithi. Built on the core values of unity, courage, service, and impact, the initiative aims to create a platform for collective welfare and community-driven efforts.
Before officially announcing the organisation, the couple hosted a blood donation drive and a special gathering in Hyderabad. The event witnessed the presence of several prominent personalities, supporters, volunteers, and fans. Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath Naveen Yadav attended as one of the chief guests and formally took part in the proceedings.
Addressing the gathering, Manoj extended a warm and emotional welcome to everyone and spoke about the values that inspired the initiative. He shared that both Mounika and him were deeply influenced by the principles of compassion and service instilled in them by their families and elders.
“I wholeheartedly welcome all of you. You are aware that we have always stood at the forefront when it comes to service. Supporting people and society is something both Mounika and I have learned from our families. While we have been involved in several service activities over the years, we felt the need to establish an organisation — a platform that brings together like-minded individuals committed to social responsibility,” said Manoj.
He added that the idea for the organisation primarily came from Mounika, who envisioned taking their efforts to a wider public and building a sense of unity among people. As part of their immediate initiatives, the couple announced that they would adopt and support the education of five children.
“This is just the beginning. Our goal is to expand our efforts to every town and village across the Telugu speaking states. If there is one true achievement in our lives, it will be when this organisation is able to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life,” Manoj said.
On the professional front, Manoj appears to be entering a significant phase in his acting career. He recently made a strong comeback with the film Mirai, where he portrayed the antagonist Mahabir Lama, also called as Black Sword. His performance received appreciation from both audiences and critics, highlighting his ability to bring intensity and emotional depth to complex roles.
Looking ahead, Manoj is preparing for one of the most ambitious projects of his career, David Reddy. The film is a large-scale pan-India period action drama directed by Hanuma Reddy Yakkanti and produced by Nallagangula Venkat Reddy and Bharat Motukuri. Set during the British colonial era between 1897 and 1920, the story follows a fierce warrior rising against oppression.
The film also features actor Maria Ryaboshapka and is being mounted on a grand scale, aiming to reach audiences across the country. With both his social initiative and film career moving forward with renewed momentum, Manoj seems set to make a meaningful impact both on and off the screen.
