

On the occasion of Ram Navami, Maruthi, the director of Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab, took to social media to share updates on his next project. The director also reacted to the setbacks he faced due to the film's underwhelming run.
Taking to his X handle, Maruthi wrote, "Every journey is a learning experience. On this auspicious occasion of Sri Rama Navami, I’m grateful to be giving final touches to my next script with His blessings."
He added, "A heartfelt thank you to all my audience, well-wishers and the media for constantly supporting me and sharing your valuable feedback. I truly respect each and every one of you."
Maruthi concluded his note by writing, "I will put in my best efforts and sincerely strive to earn your appreciation and support."
Made on a budget of Rs 400 crores, The Raja Saab, grossed Rs 208 crores during its theatrical run.
CE's review of the film reads, "The film lacks strong character arcs, emotional weight, or engaging conflicts. Scenes drag endlessly, especially in the first half, filled with unnecessary romance and glamour shots."
