Tharun Bhascker is playing the lead role in the upcoming film Gaayapadda Simham, directed by debutant Kasyap Sreenivas. The promotions of the film have intensified, with the team preparing to unveil a song in Rajahmundry at an event held on Sunday evening.
The film has already ramped up excitement with its humour-filled teaser, which was unveiled a few days ago and received an overwhelming response from all corners for its relatable theme and hilarious narrative. Produced by Saptaswa Media Works, POV Stories, and Zee Studios, and presented by Pavan Sadineni, the makers have now released a playful promotional rap song that perfectly captures the film’s satirical spirit.
The song dives into the protagonist’s chaotic world after US President Donald Trump’s massive deportation announcement flips his American Dream upside down. With trendy beats, rap-driven vocals by composer Sweekar Agasthi and rapper Asura, and lyrics penned by Sweekar with rap verses by Asura, the track blends witty satire with high energy. Sweekar’s contemporary instrumentation adds a fresh Gen-Z vibe, poking fun at rejection stamps on passports, towering Trump statues, and a hilarious “Happy Deportation” cake-cutting gag.
The video also stands out with vibrant choreography and spontaneous energy. Tharun Bhascker nails the deadpan humour amid the absurdity, while Vishnu Oi brings in the buddy vibe. Even a majestic lion appears as a symbolic representation of the resilient Gaayapadda Simham. Sweekar and Asura also join the fun on screen, adding to the playful chaos.
