Now, the filmmaker is coming up with LGBT – A Legal Battle, a courtroom drama that highlights the issues faced by transgender individuals and their fight for justice. Known for creating socially relevant and thought-provoking cinema, Suneel Kumar Reddy is gearing up for the release of this film, which is produced under the Sravya Films banner, with Subhash Chakravarthy Ravada as the co-producer.
The film is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release on June 19, coinciding with Pride Month celebrations. Speaking about the film, director P Suneel Kumar Reddy said that the movie aims to bring the realities of the transgender community to the audience through a powerful legal and emotional narrative.
He expressed confidence that LGBT – A Legal Battle will connect with audiences and create meaningful conversations about equality, dignity, and human rights.
The film features an impressive cast including LB Sriram, Esther Noronha, Raju Kher, Anand Chakrapani, and Preeti Nigam. The film also features several real-life transgender performers in important roles, bringing authenticity and emotional depth to the story.
Hima Rathod is playing the female lead, while transgender activists Chandramukhi and Laila, along with gay activist Vishnu Teja, are appearing in key roles.
The cast members appreciated the film’s sensitive portrayal of transgender lives and expressed hope that audiences will connect with the emotions and message of the film.
With a courtroom backdrop and a socially important subject, LGBT – A Legal Battle is expected to be a significant release during this Pride Month.
