Actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna sustained a leg injury on Tuesday while shooting for his upcoming film, directed by Gopichand Malineni, at Kakinada Port. The team was filming an intense action sequence featuring Balakrishna and Manchu Manoj when the actor reportedly slipped and suffered a muscle tear in his leg.

After receiving first aid on the set, Balakrishna was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors examined him and advised him to take a few days' rest.

Meanwhile, Balakrishna's nephew, Jr NTR, took to social media to wish his uncle a speedy recovery. "Get well soon, Bala Babai. Wishing you a speedy recovery and good health. Looking forward to seeing you roar back in full form... Get well soon, Babai."

Jr NTR's message quickly went viral on social media. Since Balakrishna and Jr NTR have not been seen together in public for several years, the post attracted widespread attention from fans.

Balakrishna's other nephew, actor Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, also shared a heartfelt message. "Wishing you a speedy recovery. I'm sure you will be back in action in no time, doing what you love the most."

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan also wished Balakrishna a speedy recovery. "It has been reported that Hindupur MLA and renowned actor Shri Nandamuri Balakrishna garu sustained an injury during a film shoot. I enquired about his health through officials, and they informed me that he has suffered a muscle tear. I pray to God for his speedy recovery."

Incidentally, Pawan Kalyan himself recently underwent shoulder surgery in Mumbai and is currently recuperating.

Balakrishna's upcoming film with Gopichand Malineni, tentatively titled NBK111, recently unveiled its first glimpse on the actor's birthday. The teaser hinted at a high-octane action drama packed with Balakrishna's trademark action and powerful dialogues.

Manchu Manoj, who recently impressed audiences with his negative role in Mirai, is once again playing the antagonist in NBK111. The team was shooting key confrontation scenes between Balakrishna and Manoj at Kakinada Port when the accident occurred.

The makers are planning to release NBK111 in December. However, with Balakrishna advised to take rest following the injury, it remains to be seen whether the team will be able to meet its scheduled release date.
