Telugu actor Komalee Prasad is ready to step into Tamil cinema with Mandavetti, a female-led supernatural crime thriller. Sharing the announcement, Komalee sought the love and blessings of her audience, describing the film as a project the entire team is deeply proud of, while keeping further details under wraps.
Produced by Tuskers Den Pictures and directed by Saranraj Senthilkumar, Mandavetti has officially gone on floors following a traditional pooja ceremony. Principal photography is currently underway in Usilampatti, in the Madurai district of Tamil Nadu, where the cast and crew have come together to bring the story to life.
The film places Komalee at its core, blending elements of mysticism, crime, and human emotion, all seen through a singular female perspective. With Mandavetti, she ventures into a new language and cinematic space, taking on a demanding role that anchors the narrative.
Director Saranraj Senthilkumar, known for Vella Kuthira, is recognised for his atmospheric storytelling and psychological depth. His approach to Mandavetti is described as mood-driven and unconventional, with a strong focus on restraint, texture, and the inner lives of the characters.
