Upasana Konidela gave birth to twins on January 31, and their families welcomed the baby boy and girl with joy. Now, Ram Charan and Upasana have officially revealed the names of their little ones through an announcement.
The couple recently hosted an intimate naamkaran (naming) ceremony at their residence in Hyderabad, which was attended by close family members. Following the ceremony, they announced that their son has been named Shiva Ram, while their daughter has been named Anveera Devi.
They also explained the thought and meaning behind choosing these names. Shiva is derived from Shiva Shankar Vara Prasad, the original name of Chiranjeevi, symbolising asceticism, inner strength, stillness, and spiritual discipline. Together, the name Shiva Ram represents the balance between detachment and responsibility — inner power and outward action. The name also carries the blessings of the Shiva Ram Temple, an ancient shrine associated with both Lord Shiva and Lord Rama, built by Anil Kamineni’s ancestors, the royal family of the Domakonda Samasthan in Telangana.
The name Anveera Devi also carries a deep and powerful meaning. Anveera Devi represents a rare and strong expression of the Divine Feminine. Anveera signifies one who is fearless, courageous, and divinely protected — a spirit aligned with Durga Devi, the embodiment of strength, protection, and righteous power. The name reflects resilience, grace, and unwavering courage.
The couple’s first child, Klin Kaara, was named after Goddess Lalitha Tripura Sundari, the supreme form of beauty, wisdom, and cosmic energy.
