Irumudi is on a rampage at the box office as its collections have remained strong since Day 1. The film completed its 10-day run in theatres, and on the 10th day, it collected a net of ₹15 crore from 3,043 shows, with occupancy at nearly 80 per cent. This is remarkable for a film like Irumudi, which is recording strong collections even on its 10th day despite heavy competition.

Ravi Teja and Priya Bhavani Shankar played the lead pair in this intense family drama, directed by Shiva Nirvana. Mythri Movie Makers produced the film. After completing ten days in theatres, Irumudi has collected a gross of ₹150.45 crore in India alone. On Sunday, the film collected ₹1 crore overseas, taking its total overseas gross to ₹20.50 crore. The worldwide gross of the film now stands at ₹170.95 crore.Irumudi is arguably the best film in Ravi Teja’s career in terms of revenue, as it has emerged as his highest-grossing film. Performance-wise too, this is being regarded as one of the actor’s best films. He played Trinadh, a drunkard father to a sixth-class girl, Manemma, played by Baby Nakshatra, and the husband of Kaveri, played by Priya Bhavani Shankar.

The Day 10 collection of ₹15 crore net also represents a 22 per cent jump from Saturday’s ₹12.30 crore net. With the film continuing its strong run, trade analysts believe that it could enter the ₹200 crore club soon.

The father-daughter bond in the film worked well, with director Shiva Nirvana narrating it in an emotional manner that connected with the audience. Whatever happens in Manemma’s daily life, she has to tell her father everything without hiding anything, which becomes a key point in the film. When Trinadh takes up the Ayyappa Deeksha, he gives up drinking and remains calm, and the story revolves around these two aspects. Senior actor Sai Kumar plays the important role of Guruswamy, while Swasika is also seen in a key role.

The film was released on August 21 and received positive word of mouth from Day 1, turning it into a box-office rampage. Despite facing strong competition from Toxic, Irumudi has not slowed down and continues its run with solid numbers at the box office.
