MS Raju is a well-known name in Telugu cinema, having produced several hit films under his Sumanth Art banner, including Shatruvu, Devi, Manasantha Nuvve, Okkadu, Varsham, and Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana. He later transitioned into direction and made a few films, with Dirty Hari being one of his notable successes.
Now, the producer-turned-director is back with a mystical thriller titled Agadha, which was announced on Wednesday. With this, MS Raju aims to offer a unique experience to the audience. He has been working relentlessly on this project for the past year.
The promotions for Agadha have begun in a unique way. An interesting and humorous video was released as part of the campaign. In the video, two thieves break into MS Raju’s office and, while browsing through film posters, recall memories associated with those movies. Eventually, they come across a particular poster that leaves them frightened, hinting at something mysterious. The video ends with the reveal of the Agadha poster.
The poster itself carries a strong mystical vibe. It features an idol with twelve hands, adding to the divine element. In front of it stands a girl, turned away, dressed in a distinct and unusual costume, further enhancing the intrigue.
Agadha is being made as a mystical divine thriller on a grand scale under the Sri Adi Varaha Productions banner, with MS Raju directing the film. Kasi Visalakshi Balusu is producing it prestigiously. The film, being made in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, has already completed its shoot, and post-production work is currently underway.
Speaking about the project, MS Raju said, “This is a mystical divine thriller. We will soon reveal the cast. We shot for 85 days across various sets and locations. The film will have around 45 minutes of VFX, which shows its scale. We will bring it to the audience very soon.”
