Meghamsh Srihari, son of late actor Srihari, is all set to return as the lead actor in Aasmaan, which was launched on Saturday at a private studio in Hyderabad. Directed by Ram Nandhan, the film is being produced by Kondaru Venkatesh and Srikanth Mannem under the banner of Sri KlinKaara Celluloids.
Aasmaan marks the banner’s first production venture and began on a grand note with an auspicious launch pooja, setting the stage for an ambitious and exciting cinematic project.
The launch ceremony was held in a vibrant atmosphere, with several prominent guests in attendance, including Sai Durgha Tej, Sundeep Kishan, Niharika Konidela, Roshan Kanakala and Narne Nithiin. Sai Durgha Tej gave the ceremonial first clap, while Sundeep Kishan switched on the camera. Ram Nandhan directed the first shot, and Niharika Konidela formally launched the script.
Aasmaan is being crafted as an edge-of-the-seat mythological thriller, blending suspense, rooted storytelling and high-concept narrative elements. Meghamsh Srihari will be seen in a role that is expected to present him in a new and intense avatar.
Ram Nandhan has written and directed the film, making his Telugu debut with Aasmaan. He has previously directed two commercially successful Arabic films and brings a fresh cinematic perspective to the project. He has also worked as an assistant director to Kodi Ramakrishna, further strengthening his grounding in the genre.
The technical team includes music by Prashanth R Vihari and cinematography by Shoyabh.
Speaking about the project, Ram Nandhan said, “Aasmaan marks my debut in the Telugu film industry. I would like to thank the producers for placing their trust in me and giving me this opportunity. It has been a pleasure working with Meghamsh.
“We are planning to complete the film in three schedules. We are coming up with an edge-of-the-seat thriller, and it is going to be something truly fresh and unique.”
The film is all set to go on floors soon, with plans for a multi-language release across Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Arabic.
