We had earlier reported about Sumanth Prabhas’ next film as a lead, Godari Gattupaina that went into production earlier this year. The makers of the film released a ‘first breeze’ glimpse on Thursday, also sharing an update on their release plans — Godari Gattupaina will arrive in theatres in November this year.
The first glimpse establishes the two protagonists, who compare their romance to the confluence of Godavari river and the sea, where the waters merge despite being different from each other in elements, reflecting on the mysterious ways in which nature, like love, works. The gentle background score and the rustic outdoor locales add to the film’s grounded feel. Besides its romantic core, the film also promises to gentle explore socio-political factors that are often at play in marriages and relationships in our country, especially the heartlands. The film borrows its title from a popular song from the 1999 Mahesh Babu film Raja Kumarudu.
Godari Gattupaina features Nidhi Pradeep in her debut, and Jagapathi Babu in a major role. Subhash Chandra too is making his directorial debut with the rooted love story, while also serving as the script writer. The ensemble cast of the film includes Rajeev Kanakala, Laila, Devi Prasad, Sudarshan, Raj Kumar Kasireddy, Viva Raghav and Rohit Krishna Varma.
On the technical front, Sai Santosh helms the cinematography, and Naga Vamsi Krishna is the music composer. Editing and production design are by Anil Kumar P and Pravalya respectively. Godari Gattupaina is produced by Abhinav Rao under Red Puppet Productions.
Sumanth Prabhas, who rose to limelight with his social media presence, had a successful film debut two years ago with Mem Famous. Recently, we had reported that Sumanth is also planning to collaborate with Sandeep Reddy Vanga for a youthful romance, with the latter onboard as a producer.
