Meghalu Cheppina Prema Katha is streaming on SunNxt from today. The film, starring Naresh Agastya and introducing Rabiya Khatoon in her Telugu debut, released theatrically on July 17.
Written and directed by Vipin, Meghalu Cheppina Prema Katha is produced by Uma Devi Kota under the banner of Sunethra Entertainment Pvt Ltd. The story revolves around Varun (Naresh Agastya), son of a wealthy businessman who wishes to shape him into a replica of himself, and Meghana (Rabiya Khatoon), a spirited young woman whose moods arrive, just like her name, in the style of monsoon showers, unexpected, brief, sometimes glorious, sometimes too heavy. They cross paths in Valparai, and what begins as coincidence blooms into companionship.
The supporting cast includes a wide ensemble of senior and younger actors such as Radhika Sarathkumar, Tanikella Bharani, Suman, Aamani, Tulasi, Venkatesh Kakumanu, Vidhyullekha Raman, Harsha Vardhan, and Prince Rama Varma. Child artist Master Kartikeya also plays a key role.
For Meghalu Cheppina Prema Katha, Justin Prabhakaran has composed the music, with cinematography by Mohana Krishna and editing by Marthand K Venkatesh. The production design is led by National Award-winning art director Thota Tharani.
