On Sunday, the team of Mithra Mandali unveiled their third single, ‘Jambar Gimbar Lala’. Legendary comedian Brahmanandam, whose famous dialogue the song is based on, was the star guest.
Taking the mic, Brahmanandam said with characteristic warmth, “I’ve seen this student energy when I was teaching, and I’m very happy to see all of you now. It was so much fun acting with these youngsters, they make me feel young too. My dearest Bunny Vas, thank you for making me a part of Mithra Mandali.
He further added, “Films like these, filled with fun and entertainment, are truly needed by the audience. Please encourage comedy and comedians. We’ll all be happy if comedy continues to thrive and the efforts of comedians are recognised.”
He also expressed gratitude for the affection showered on him over the decades. “I’m so happy to see the love you’ve shown me through all these years. I worked with young talents Vishnu Oi and Rag Mayur in Keedaa Cola. I believe Priyadarshi, Niharika NM, Prasad Behara, and everyone in the team love me too,” he added, teasing producer Bunny Vas as someone who “has brains in every part of his body” for his tireless promotional efforts.
Directed by Vijayender S, Mithra Mandali follows four middle-class friends navigating limited opportunities, promising comedy laced with mystery. Priyadarshi leads the cast alongside Rag Mayur, Vishnu Oi, Prasad Behara, and debutante Niharika NM, with Vennela Kishore, Satya, and VTV Ganesh adding to the ensemble. Produced by Kalyan Manthina, Bhanu Pratapa and Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala, and presented by Bunny Vas, the film is scheduled for release on October 16.
