Sai Durgha Tej’s dystopian action drama Sambarala Yetigattu, which was announced last year, was tentatively scheduled for release on September 25. However, after the release date announcement of Pawan Kalyan’s OG, the makers of Sai Durgha Tej had not provided any clarity on their release plans. On Saturday morning, the Sambarala Yetigattu team shared a statement on the same.
Taking to their X page, the film’s production house Primeshow Entertainment posted, “Sambarala Yetigattu is one of our most ambitious projects, mounted on a larger-than-life scale with a vision to blend powerful storytelling and world-class technical standards.” The banner clarified that the film’s production was delayed ‘due to the unforeseen strike and certain crucial CG works,” and hence the team has opted to go for a later release date ‘in order to maintain the quality and grandeur that the story demands.’ “The new release date will be announced soon, and the wait will be worth every moment,” they added.
The SYG team also acknowledged the dedication of their actor-director duo, stating, “Sai Durgha Tej has displayed extraordinary dedication and discipline, putting in relentless hard work to embody his character with authenticity and intensity. Equally, our director Rohith KP. has invested his heart, soul, and years of passion into making his dream project come alive.”
SYG is being bankrolled by Niranjan Reddy, who is basking in the success of last year’s HanuMan, and Chaitanya Reddy under the Prime Show Entertainments banner. The high-budget action entertainer is directed by debutant Rohith KP. The film also stars Aishwarya Lekshmi, and the extended cast includes Srikanth Meka, Ananya Nagalla, Jagapathi Babu, and Sai Kumar, among others. Earlier this year, the SYG team had finished 75% of the shoot over 120 days of production.
Sambarala Yetigattu has cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy, music composed by Ajaneesh Loknath, editing by Naveen Vijaya Krishna, and production design led by Gandhi Nadikudikar.
