Kajal Aggarwal has brushed aside shocking death rumours that circulated earlier this week, assuring fans she is in good health. The actor, who was falsely reported to have died in a road accident, made her first public appearance in Mumbai on Wednesday, putting all speculation to rest.
The actor was spotted in a casual black top and blue jeans, paired with sunglasses, looking relaxed and radiant as she posed for paparazzi. Videos from her city outing quickly went viral, much to the relief of her admirers who were unsettled by the false news.
On Monday, Kajal addressed the hoax head-on through her social media handles, writing, “I’ve come across some baseless news claiming I was in an accident (and no longer around!) And honestly, it’s quite amusing because it’s absolutely untrue. By the grace of God, I want to assure you all that I am perfectly fine, safe, and doing very well. I kindly request you not to believe or circulate such false news. Let’s focus our energies on positivity and truth instead.”
Speaking later about the incident, Kajal shared that while she found the rumours amusing, they deeply upset her family. “It was quite sad to see how disturbed my family felt. They kept receiving incessant calls, as did my staff. Life events, such as birth and death, are serious matters that one should never trivialise or spread falsehoods about. I truly hope we can all be more mindful and focus on truth, kindness, and positivity,” she told Hindustan Times.
The incident comes shortly after Kajal returned from a Maldives holiday with her husband, Gautam Kitchlu, where she had shared glimpses of the serene getaway on Instagram.
On the professional front, Kajal was last seen in Vishnu Manchu’s mythological epic Kannappa and earlier this year in the Salman Khan–Rashmika Mandanna starrer Sikandar. She will next feature in Shankar’s highly anticipated Indian 3 alongside Kamal Haasan. Industry buzz also suggests that Kajal has been roped in to play Mandodari, Ravana’s wife, in Nitesh Tiwari’s two-part Ramayana, which stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana.
