During the promotion of her upcoming gritty crime drama, Ghaati, Anushka Shetty has sent fans into a frenzy with her latest comments about reuniting with Baahubali co-star Prabhas on screen. Anushka is not promoting the film physically but she has been taking phone call interviews with the media.
When asked about the possibility of sharing screen space with the pan-Indian superstar again, the actor delivered an optimistic response with Gulte. She said, “I hope so. I really want to work with Prabhas. After a film like Baahubali, it should be special or different. If a good script comes and Prabhas likes it, we will do it.”
The duo's on-screen chemistry in SS Rajamouli's epic Baahubali franchise became the stuff of legends. Before Baahubali, Prabhas and Anushka shared screen space in Mirchi (2013), where their pairing was equally well-received. The success of their collaborations has led to persistent speculation about future projects, with fans regularly flooding social media with requests for another Prabhas-Anushka film.
Currently, both stars are busy with their individual projects. Anushka is awaiting the release of Ghaati on September 5. While, Prabhas has Kalki 2, Hanu Raghavapudi’s untitled film, Salaar: Part 2, Sandeep Vanga’s Spirit, and The Raja Saab gearing up for release in January, 2026.
Produced by UV Creations and First Frame Entertainments, Ghaati is set in the tribal heartlands of Andhra Pradesh and explores how an unsuspecting community finds itself pulled into a sprawling drug mafia. The film is directed by Krish Jagarlamudi.
Ghaati’s supporting cast features Jagapathi Babu, Chaitanya Rao, and Ravindra Vijay, among others. With dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra, art direction by National Award-winner Thota Tharani, and cinematography by Manojh Reddy Katasani, the film brings together a solid technical crew.
As Baahubali: The Epic is readying for a grand pan-Indian re-release on October 31, fans have a chance to rewatch the pair again on screen.
