Sree Vishnu, who has delivered one of the few clean Telugu hits this year with #Single, has three projects in the pipeline, one of which is under Sree Subrahmanyeshwara Cinemas. While the project was officially announced in February, there were no major updates from the team since. On Thursday, however, the team officially announced Nayan Sarika onboarding the film as the female lead.
The team shared a cheeky announcement video with Nayan Sarika herself, where she accidentally leaks the news of her next project to a couple of her fans, who then spread the word around. The announcement video ends with a brief glimpse of her character in the film, who playfully asks the viewer if there are any good bars in the area.
Set in the backdrop of Ongole, the film promises to be a wacky comedy, consistent with the genre Sree Vishnu has come to be associated with. The film, which is yet to get an official title, is written and directed by debutant Yadunaath Maruthi Rao. Incidentally, both of Nayan Sarika’s previous works — AAY and KA — were made by debutant directors. With
Sumanth Naidu G, who has previously produced Harom Hara, is the producer for the Sree Vishnu starrer. Hema & Shalini will present the film, with Subramanyam Naidu G and Ramachary M as co-producers.
The ensemble cast includes notable actors like Satya, Brahmaji, Praveen, Srikanth Iyyengar, Goparaju Ramana, and Pramodini. Radhan has been signed to composer music for the film, while Ramajogayya Sastry will pen the lyrics. In the technical crew, Sai Sriram is the cinematographer and A Ramanjaneyulu is the art director. Bhanu Master is the choreographer.
Sree Vishnu’s other upcoming projects include an entertainer with his Samajavaragamana director Ram Abbaraju, which was announced three weeks ago, SV19 which promises to be an action drama, and a thriller titled Mrithyunjay directed by Hussain Sha Kiran.
