On Thursday, the makers of Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu released the promo of their first single titled ‘Meesala Pilla’, also announcing the release date for full single.
The new song promo, featuring Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara, begins with a small banter-filled scene between the two protagonists where Chiranjeevi tells a miffed Nayanthara why he called her ‘Meesala Pilla’ (The moustache girl) because of her argumentative and brash nature. The song video, shot on a vibrant and colorful set, promises to bring back vintage Chiranjeevi and his dance moves. AS Prakash is the production designer, and Tammiraju is the editor. Sameer Reddy helms the cinematography.
The single, composed by Bheems Ceciroleo also marks Udit Narayan’s comeback to Telugu film music after many years. Shweta Mohan is the female vocalist for the playful number, with lyrics by Bhaskarabhatla. Vijay Polaki is the choreographer.
Produced under the banners of Gold Box Entertainments and Shine Screens, Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu marks the first collaboration between Chiranjeevi and Anil Ravipudi, who previously delivered a blockbuster with Venkatesh starrer Sankranthiki Vasthunam. Anil has also penned the script in association with S Krishna and G Adinarayana.
On Wednesday, the team had officially introduced Nayanthara’s character, who plays Sasirekha in the film. This is Nayanthara’s 3rd collaboration with Chiranjeevi after Godfather and Sye Raa Narsimha Reddy. The film was officially launched in March this year, with Venkatesh gracing the muhurtham puja ceremony. Venkatesh will also be seen in a special cameo in the film, which has added to the film’s appeal for cine-goers.
Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu will also mark Chiranjeevi’s first release in nearly 2.5 years, after Bholaa Shankar. Slated for a Sankranthi 2026 release, the comedy entertainer will clash against other biggies like Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab and Navin Polishetty’s Anaganaga Oka Raju.
