The makers of Bad Boy Karthik released the second single from the film titled ‘America Nundi Vacchaanu.’ Harris Jayaraj has composed this special song as a foot-tapping dance number. The lyrics penned by Academy Award Winner, ‘Naatu Naatu’ fame, Chandrabose added a masala touch with deeper philosophical layers talking about greed and that everything is temporary. Chandana Bala Kalyan and Gold Devaraj's vocals add rhythm to the track. The song features Vennela Kishore in the video.
Bad Boy Karthik features Naga Shaurya in what is billed as a rugged avatar. As the female lead, debutante Vidhi Yadav joins him. Samuthirakani and VK Naresh play significant roles in the supporting cast. Further ensemble includes Saikumar, Mime Gopi, Sridevi Vijay Kumar, Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Prithvi, Ajay, Priya, Nellore Sudarshan, Krishnadu, Chamak Chandra, Sivannarayana. The film’s first single, ‘My Dear Janatha’, was also released recently.
Bad Boy Karthik is written and directed by debutant Raam Desina and produced by Srinivasa Rao Chintalapudi under the banner of Sri Vaishnavi Films. Earlier this year, in January, on Naga Shaurya's birthday, the film's title and first look were revealed.
Apart from Harris Jayaraj’s return, the film also brings together a seasoned technical crew. Rasool Ellore serves as the cinematographer, Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao handles the editing, while production design is by Rajeev Nair.
This project is being seen as a potential comeback vehicle for Naga Shaurya, who was last seen in Rangabali (2023). The actor is expected to portray a grittier character compared to his earlier roles. However, an official release date is yet to be announced.
