Naga Shaurya, who was last seen in Rangabali, will be returning to the big screen after more than 2 years with the action-thriller Bad Boy Karthik. The first single of the film, titled ‘My Dear Janatha,’ was released on Thursday.
Harris Jayaraj is the composer for the Naga Shaurya starrer. Sung by Hema Chandra, ‘My Dear Janatha,’ is a fast-paced number, heavy on electronic beats and embellished with a catchy rap section. Ramajogayya Sastry has penned the lyrics. The song video, choreographed by Raju Sundaram, has a vibrant feel, shot at multiple locations including a dockyard, and a cricket stadium.
Directed by debutant filmmaker Raam Desina (Ramesh), Bad Boy Karthik promises to feature Naga Shaurya in a rugged avatar. Vidhi Yadav plays the female lead, making her Telugu debut, while the supporting cast has names like Samuthirakani and VK Naresh. The technical team includes veteran Rasool Ellore as the cinematographer and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao as the editor. Production design is by Rajeev Nair. Supreme Sundar and Prudhvi have designed action for the film.
Bad Boy Karthik is produced by Srinivasa Rao Chintalapudi under the banner of Sri Vaishnavi Films. Sujatha Medikonda, Baby Advaitha and Bhavishya are on board as presenters.
The Bad Boy Karthik team wrapped up their shoot earlier in May this year, after going on the floors in August 2024. However, a release date for the film is yet to be announced.
