We had reported a few days about Hyderabad court passing a verdict that protects Chiranjeevi’s personality rights. Using the same, the actor had sent notice to several business establishments, including more than 50 eateries, barring them from misusing his name or images to run their business.
On Sunday, however, the owner of an establishment named ‘Chiranjeevi dhaba’ issued a video statement, clarifying about the notice received by him, and the events that followed.
In the video, Ravi Teja stated, “Me and my friend Prasad had opened this dhaba in Nallaganda, Hyderabad. As you know, many people received this notice from Chiranjeevi’s team, including us. However, we named this place out of our sheer love for him. And we were 100 percent confident that if he knew this, he would take this sportingly.”
Ravi then elaborated on reaching out to Chiranjeevi’s team, and the support they received in return. He said, “When we approached his team, Chiranjeevi sir instantly responded, and sent his team to ensure that we aren’t misusing his name in any manner. Once he was assured, he gave us 100 percent assurance and his blessings to run our business.”
Ravi expressed his pleasure upon receiving such support from Chiranjeevi, adding, “A word coming directly from Chiranjeevi is a beautifully memory, and a proud moment as a fan. He made us indebted to him for a lifetime.” He also clarified that the notices being issued under the protection order are only for those establishments which are using Chiranjeevi’s name to spread negative publicity. “There are people news that he will sue people for using his name, image, etc. We are the example that he will look at all cases with a positive approach. Don’t believe such reports,” he added to conclude his clarification video.
