The teaser of Mirai, the upcoming pan-Indian fantasy action film starring Teja Sajja and Manchu Manoj, was unveiled on Wednesday, offering a first look at what promises to be a striking, high-stakes clash between a reluctant hero and a destructive villain. The film follows the classic hero’s journey story arc with Teja Sajja taking the lead. Directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni, the film is slated for release on September 5 in 2D and 3D formats across eight Indian and international languages.

The teaser opens with a voiceover describing the legend of a weapon named Mirai, said to act only when the time is right. Teja Sajja’s character, initially unaware of his own strength, is chosen by the divine staff to rise against a force threatening humanity. This force is embodied by The Black Sword, a character played by Manchu Manoj, who is shown in intense, stylised visuals.

Mirai's teaser further highlights high-VFX sequences such as a speeding train battle, sharp eagle claws, and the brief yet evocative presence of Lord Ram, seen only through bowed monkeys and divine footsteps. The production reveals a narrative rooted in Ashokan mythology, tying the story to the lost books of Emperor Ashoka and their hidden wisdom.

Ritika Nayak plays the female lead, with supporting roles by Shriya Saran, Jayaram, and Jagapathi Babu. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under People Media Factory banner, the film’s music is composed by Gowra Hari, with cinematography also handled by the director.

Mirai blends ancient mythology with modern visual effects, placing Teja Sajja back in the superhero space following his recent blockbuster, Hanu-Man.
