Tejja Sajja received outstanding recognition at IFFI 2024 after the screening of his mythology-based superhero film HanuMan’s screening. The film, set in the fictional village of Anjanadri, narrates the journey of Hanumanthu, a petty thief who gains divine powers from Hanuman’s blood. This transformation sets the stage for an epic clash with a self-proclaimed superhero, intertwining mythology, courage, and human resilience.

Teja Sajja expressed pride in portraying a character deeply rooted in Indian culture while resonating with international audiences familiar with similar mythological figures. HanuMan, written and directed by Prasanth Varma, was a blockbuster across pan-Indian languages. Talking about his role with the film, he said, “Delivering meaningful narratives is not just a goal but also a responsibility. HanuMan is not just a film, it’s a tribute to our cultural roots and traditions.” The sequel to the film titled, Jai HanuMan starring Rishab Shetty, is in production.

Teja Sajja is coming up with Mirai, a two-part historical superhero action drama. The epic action saga is helmed by cinematographer-turned director Karthik Gattamaneni. The film is being bankrolled by TG Vishwa Prasad and co-produced by Vivek Kuchibotla under the banner of People Media Factory. Talking about this film, Sajja said, “Mirai is a fantasy action-adventure, you are going to be surprised once we release the content.”
