Aditi Shankar, daughter of eminent filmmaker Shankar, will make her Telugu debut with Bhairavam. Ahead of the film’s release, Aditi interacted with the media, speaking about her experience working for Bhairavam, her memories of Hyderabad, and to what extent her father gets involved in her career choices.

She admitted to being nervous about language barriers on the sets of Bhairavam, adding that the team helped her overcome her doubts. “Our director Vijay Kanakamedala and writer Satya helped a lot, which made the journey very smooth. All three actors also knew how to speak Tamil, so that helped too.” Aditi described her character in Bhairavam as ‘bold and honest, yet bubbly at the same time,’ adding, ‘It’s quite close to my real self.”

Aditi recalled coming to Hyderabad often, when she would accompany her father Shankar to his film shoots, adding, “Now coming here to shoot my own film is a dream-like moment.” The actor also clarified that her father does not get involved in her career moves. She explained, “My father doesn't know anything about the films I'm doing or the stories related to them. I tell my mother everything. My father is busy with his own films, about which he doesn't tell me anything either. He takes care of his films like a baby.” The actor mentioned on a light-hearted note that she nonetheless compels Shankar to watch her films. “He has no other option. If he doesn't watch my films, I will fight him,” she added with a laugh.
