Husharu, the 2018 coming-of-age buddy which has gained a cult status in the last few years, will have a theatrical re-release on July 5, the makers announced on Wednesday.
Written and directed by Sree Harsha Konuganti, Husharu told the story of four middle-class engineering graduates — Arya, Chay, Dhruv and Bunty — who always take the road less travelled, and stand together during a phase of personal setback, channeling their friendship to rise back to redemption.
While Tejus Kancherla, Tej Kurapati, Dinesh Tej, and Abhinav Medishetti played the lead roles, the supporting cast included Rahul Ramakrishna, Daksha Nagarkar, Priya Vadlamani, Hemal Ingle, Pramodini and Ramya Pasupuleti.
Husharu was produced by Bekkem Venugopal and Riaz under Lucky Media banner. The soundtrack for Hushaaru was composed by Radhan, Sunny MR and Varikuppla Yadagiri.
Sree Harsha Konuganti went on to make another buddy comedy titled Om Bheem Bush, starring Sree Vishnu, Priyadarshi and Rahul Ramakrishna, which released in March last year.
Husharu is being reportedly remade in Kannada, with Raj Surya helming the direction.
