We had reported a few days about the makers of upcoming web series Viraatapaaem - PC Meena Reporting setting June 27 as the premiere date. On Thursday, the makers released the trailer of their series, which will soon be streaming on Zee5.

Abhignya Vuthaluru plays the lead role in the series that’s written by Divya Thejaswi Pera and directed by Poluru Krishna. Set in the 1980s in a fictional village called Viraatapalem, the show promises to tell the story of an earnest and brave woman constable Meena who is posted in a village living under the shadow of superstitions, after being haunted by years of death cases of newly-wed brides. As a result, no wedding has taken place in the village for years, leaving the village filled with only children and elderly. After failing to solve the mystery, Meena decides to put her life at stake to solve the mystery. 

The supporting cast of show includes Charan Lakkaraju, Lavanya Sahukara, Ramaraju, Gowtham Raju & Satish. The writing team also includes Vikram Kumar Kandimalla who is credited for ‘screenplay.’In the technical team, Mahesh K Swaroop and Farooq Hundrekar helm cinematography and editing, respectively.

KV Sriram is producing the series under South Indian Screens banner.  The banner earlier producer Recce for Zee5.
