On Sunday, the makers of Balakrishna starrer Akhanda 2 released the jukebox of their film, releasing the complete soundtrack 5 days before the film’s release.

Thaman S, who composed music for Balakrishna’s previous outing Daaku Maharaaj, is also the music director for Akhanda 2. The Akhanda 2 OST consists of 8 tracks, 8 of which are spiritually driven and high-octane in their energy. With titles like  ‘Akhanda Thandavam,’ ‘Gangadhara Shankara,’ ‘Shiva Shiva,’ ‘Hara Hara,’ ‘Shankara Shankara,’ ‘Shambo,’ ‘Akhanda Haindavam’ and ‘The Thaandavam,’ each of these compositions promise to further underline the religious undertones of the movie, arriving at regular intervals in the movie. The 9th number is the ‘Jajikaya’ song which was unveiled a few days ago.

Notable playback singers like Shankar Mahadevan, Shreya Ghoshal, Kailash Kher, Sarvepalli Sisters, and SP Charan among others have lent their vocals to the album.Kalyan Chakravarthy and Adviteeya Vojjala have penned most of the songs. National award inner Kasarla Shyam too has penned a song. 

Produced by 14 Reels Plus banner, Akhanda 2 is all set for a grand theatrical release on December 5. On Saturday, the makers also completed the censorship formalities for their action-entertainer, with the film receiving an received an U/A certificate from the censor board.

 The film marks four collaboration between the actor and the director after Simha, Legend, and Akhanda.  Besides Balakrishna, the film also features Samyuktha and Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame Harshaali Malhotra as part of the lead cast. 

As part of their grand pan-India release plans, the makers are reportedly also planning to release their film in Awadhi, besides Hindi, to particularly cater to the audience segment in parts of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar.
