Earlier this month we reported about Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions coming on board for north India belt’s distribution rights of Teja Sajja’s Mirai. Now the makers of the action-adventurer have locked their distribution deals for other pan-India territories as well.
In Karnataka, Mirai will be released by Hombale Films through VK Films. For its Malayalam territories, Gokulam Gopalan of Sree Gokulam Movies have come on board as the distributor. Meanwhile in Tamil Nadu, Mirai makers are collaborating with Aishwarya Kalapathi and Archana Kalapathi of AGS Entertainment to attain a wide release for their film in the state.
Despite a delay in release plans, the Mirai team is clearly leaving no stoned unturned in its ambitions for a wide-scale pan India release, to repeat the success of Teja Sajja’s previous film HanuMan. On Thursday morning, the Mirai makers have also planned a special event in Hyderabad to launch their film’s trailer.
A few days ago, the Mirai team officially announced their decision to postpone the release from September 5 to September 12, reportedly due to delays in VFX work completion. Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, Mirai also stars Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, and Manchu Manoj in the lead cast. The ensemble cast includes Jayaram, Jagapathi Babu, Rajendranath Zutshi, Pawan Chopra, and Tanja Keller. In the technical team, Sreekar Prasad is the editor and Sri Nagendranath Tangala helms production design.
Mirai will now lock horns with Anupama Parmeswaran-Bellamkonda Sreenivas starrer Kishkindhapuri at the box office.
