Srikanth Odela who is going to direct a project with Chiranjeevi, wished the veteran star on his 70th birthday on X. Calling the actor as “T-Rex,” he declared to all Chiranjeevi fans, “I miss my Chiranjeevi on screen. I promise I will bring him back!”
The director’s tweet is trending on Telugu social media for the his of bold statements. He wrote, “Jeevithakaalam aade cinema ra Chiranjeevi. Ippudu Chiranjeevi tho cinema ante! Jeevithakalm gurthindipoyela teeyadam tappa inko option ledu.” (Chiranjeevi is a cinema that plays forever. And now, I am making a film with him, I don’t have any other choice but to make a film that’s immortal.)
He further added that this film, tentatively called as #ChiruOdela, will feature the Chiranjeevi that fans have been missing, he stated, “Na kosam nene teesthunna cinema idi. Na lanti prathi Chiranjeevi Abhimani kosam testhunna cinema #ChiruOdela. It's a BLOOD PROMISE.” (I am making this film for myself. For every Chiranjeevi fan like me.)
#ChiruOdela was launched last year by Nani. Chiranjeevi and director Odela posted a photo with both of them in blood-drenched hands and they made an oath that the film will be a “Bloodbath.” Srikanth Odela has proclaimed himself as an avid Chiranjeevi fan in previous interviews and promised to the audiences that the film will be a thrilling ride.
Currently, Srikanth Odela is busy in the shooting of the upcoming Nani starrer The Paradise. Even this film is billed as a violent action drama to be based in 90s Secunderabad with Nani playing Jadal, a man from a marginalised community who becomes a leader.
Chiranjeevi’s upcoming projects include Anil Ravipudi’s Mana ShankaraVaraPrasad Garu aiming for Sankranthi 2026, Bobby Kolli’s yet-to-be titled film and Vishwambhara which is aiming for Summer 2026.
