A few days ago, the makers of Little Hearts announced September 12 as the release date for their film. Now, Bellamkonda Sreenivas-Anupama Parmeswaran starrer Kishkindhapuri will have a box office clash with Little Hearts, the team announced on Saturday.
The makers also released an intriguing new poster on the occasion, which features a muscular Sreenivas at the centre, and its other key visual elements like an old haunted mansion and a burning bus on the sidelines. What also creates intrigue is the visual of an ancient transistor that’s broken apart, almost as if Sreenivas has torn through a giant radio wall.
Kishkindhapuri is directed by Koushik Pegallapati, who made his debut with Chaavu Kaburu Challaga (2021). The film, billed as a horror thriller, is produced by Sahu Garapati under the banner of Shine Screens. The first glimpse, which was unveiled in April, establishes an abandoned, haunted mansion as the backdrop of the narrative, where the lead characters pay a visit, and get sucked in by its mysterious elements.
The new single of the film, ‘Undipove Naathone’, was released 2 days ago and has already garnered more than a million Youtube hits. Chaitan Bharadwaj is the music composer for Kishkindhapuri. Sam CS is composing the background score, meanwhile.
In the technical crew, Chinmay Salaskar is the cinematographer and Niranjan Devaramane is the editor. Art direction is by Siva Kamesh, while Manisha Dutt is the production designer.
Kishkindhapuri will also reunite Sreenivas and Anupama, who last worked together in the 2019 film Rakshasudu. Anupama has another major release coming up with Paradha, which will hit theatres on August 22. On the other hand, Sreenivas was recently seen in the action-drama Bhairavam, which also starred Manchu Manoj and Nara Rohith.
