On Friday, Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International banner announced that the second schedule of production on its upcoming film, Seyon, starring Sivakarthikeyan, has been wrapped. "Stage two completed in the victorious journey of valour," the producer announced. The producer made the announcement with a behind-the-scenes video offering glimpses of the characters from the film.
Seyon is directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, who made his debut with this year's Thaai Kizhavi. The film brings Sivakumar back together with his Thaai Kizhavi producer Sivakarthikeyan, and it reunites the actor with his Amaran producer Kamal Haasan.
The film also stars Bhagyashri Borse, Raj B Shetty, and Seeman in important roles. The cast includes Bala Saravanan, Singampuli, and Aruldoss. On the technical front, it has composer Santhosh Narayanan, action choreographer Anbariv, cinematographer Vidhu Ayyanna, editor San Lokesh, and production designer Arun Venjaramoodu.
Producers Kamal and R Mahendran of Raaj Kamal Films International are yet to reveal the specifics of the film's story. However, a recently released glimpse video shows people of a village treating Sivakarthikeyan's character as a God.
Sivakarthikeyan was most recently seen in this year's Parasakthi. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film earned mixed reviews from critics and audiences. According to data from the box office tracker Sacnilk, Parasakthi earned a gross collection of around 85 crore at the global box office, although multiple reports also say that it crossed the 100-crore mark.
Beyond Seyon, Sivakarthikeyan is set to reunite with his Don director Cibi Chakaravarthi for an upcoming film. The actor is also expected to headline a film from director Venkat Prabhu, popular for helming Chennai 600028, Mankatha, Maanaadu, and The Greatest of All Time. It is worth noting that he made a cameo appearance in the filmmaker's GOAT, alongside Vijay.
