

The makers of the Rajinikanth-starrer Dharman announced that the upcoming film has completed the second schedule of filming. Dharman is produced by Kamal Haasan under the under his Raaj Kamal Films International banner, and R Mahendran under the Turmeric Media banner.
Ashwath Marimuthu, who has directed the Pradeep Ranganathan led Dragon (2025), is directing Dharman. He was announced to be directing the film in June, after plans for developing a film with Sundar C and later Cibi Chakravarthy fell through.
The second schedule for the film commenced early in August. The cast of the film also includes Simran and Raashi Khanna. Rajinikanth and Simran reunite in Dharman after Kartik Subbaraj's Petta (2019). Meanwhile, Rukmini Vasanth and Ram Pothineni are rumoured to be part of the cast, with the latter speculated to play the film's villain.
Anirudh is composing music for the film, in his sixth film with Rajinikanth. The composer is also on board the crew of the actor's Jailer 2. The crew also includes cinematographer Niketh Bommi, editor Pradeep E Ragav, art director MR Karthik Rajkumar, and stunt choreographers Anbariv.
Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth are set to reunite onscreen, in starring roles after Ninaithale Inikkum (1979). They last appeared together in K Balachandar's Thillu Mullu (1981).
Rajinikanth will also return as Muthuvel Pandian in Nelson's Jailer 2, which opens in theatres on October 15.
