The recently released comedy drama, Modha Rathiri, opened in theatres to positive acclamation. But for director Raja Karuppasamy, one positive call stood out. In an interview with CE, the director spoke about his reaction to interacting with actor Silambarasan TR.
When asked about the reviews and wishes from Silambarasan, Raja said, "Even now I get goosebumps thinking about it. Even people who have been with me, my close friends, and people I have known for a while have not wished me after watching the film."
He added, "But, we got a call from him out of the blue, and he made the effort to reach out to us. No one from the production reached out to him. After tweeting about the film, he called us and spoke about the film for 20-25 minutes. He was very observant and was very curious about the finer aspects of the technical part of particular scenes."
Writing about his thoughts on Modha Rathiri, Silambarasan said, "Really happy to see a new director and team make something so rooted and interesting. My appreciation to director Raja Karuppasamy, the entire cast and crew and everyone who backed this film."
