While Abdool Lee has been seen in a slew of projects, with the second season of Vadhandhi and Modha Rathiri being the latest of them. But the actor, who began his career with the YouTube sketch comedy channel Temple Monkeys, made his debut in 2017, with Vijay's Mersal being one of his earliest project.
Speaking about his interaction with Vijay, Abdool said, "After shooting a particular scene with him, he called me and enquired about where I had worked before. I was telling him that I had been doing a lot of YouTube videos, which is when he was interested and asked me to show him some examples."
He added, "While I was skeptical about this, I thought he would forget about this eventually. But the next day, during a break he remembered this, and even asked me to show him some. Now, we had done a lot of videos poking fun at a lot of people. So he tried to control his laughter, but eventually he broke. He even asked if we had poked fun at him. I told him that we hadn't done a video on him, yet. He jokingly replied, 'So you will do one in the future is it?' But after the success meet he called me aside and said you won't be able to do these videos any more as you are part of the industry now. But still I made videos. Not as much as before, but still I did it out of loyalty."
Written and directed by Raja Karuppasamy, the cast of Modha Rathiri includes Rishikanth, Anishma Anilkumar, Chetan, Bagavathi Perumal, with the director himself. The film is currently running in theatres.
