At the trailer launch of Karthi's Sardar 2, actor Ravi Mohan recalled an incident in his career, where he sought Suriya's help. While Ravi Mohan and Suriya haven't worked with each other, the former has worked with the latter's brother, Karthi, on Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan film series.
"I have known Suriya sir from much earlier. His elegance is simpy unmatched. If I start talking about Suriya sir, I can speak for an entire day. But I want to share one particular incident. When I had just started learning to perform stunts Suriya sir was also learning stunts. I went up to him and said, 'Sir, I’m learning a backflip. Would you like to see?' I attempted the backflip, but it went wrong. Thankfully, the professionals who were there saved me," said Ravi Mohan.
He continued by saying, "While he helped me with stabilising myself, he came back after some time and told me, 'Ravi, don’t feel bad because you made a mistake. Try it once again and do it correctly. That’s how life will become better.' That one piece of advice from Suriya sir has stayed with me throughout. In cinema, that is very important. We have to constantly keep checking our minds and make sure we remain positive. That is one of the things I learned from him."
Ravi Mohan's brother, director Mohan Raja was also announced to join hands with actor Karthi for a new film. Ravi Mohan expressed excitement for the film and shared how Mohan Raja would describe this story enthusiastically.
Meanwhile, Sardar 2 is set to open in theatres on September 10. Karthi will faceoff against SJ Suryah in the upcoming film.
