Dhanush is gearing up for the November 20 release of his next film Om, also starring Mammootty and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy of Amaran fame. Besides playing a key role in the film, Dhanush serves as a producer for it as well. On Saturday, the actor's production banner Wunderbar Films announced that Binu George Alexander will serve as a distributor for the film in Kerala.
The presence of Mammootty in the cast makes it an even more significant film for the Kerala market. Om also stars Sai Pallavi, who made her acting debut with 2015's Premam, opposite Nivin Pauly, in addition to Sreeleela, Indrans, and Naseeruddin Shah. Fresh from his critically acclaimed performance in Imtiaz Ali's Main Vaapas Aaunga, Naseeruddin Shah comes back to Tamil cinema for the first time after 2000's Hey Ram with Om. Meanwhile, the film marks Mammootty's return to the industry after 2019's Peranbu.
With the upcoming film, Dhanush comes back together with Mammootty for the first time in a feature after 2013's Malayalam film Kammath and Kammath. The actor is also producing the upcoming film through his Wunderbar Films banner, alongside Shraddha Agrawal and Azmat Jagmag.
On the technical front, Om has music by Sai Abhyankkar, cinematography by Ezhil Arasu K, editing by R Kalaivanan, art direction by A Pannerselvam, and stunt choreographhy by Yannick Ben and Kecha Khamphakdee. It is worth noting that the film marks Sai Abhyankkar's first collaboration with Dhanush for a feature film. The composer is also attached to the actor and Vetri Maaran's upcoming film Thamizh Murugan.
The film is set to mark Dhanush's second release in 2026; earlier this year, the actor headlined Por Thozhil filmmaker Vignesh Raja's Kara.
