Actor Sivakarthikeyan, who addressed his fans in a meeting in Porur on Sunday, said that he is not a self-made star but a "people-made star". He said that this stardom is not possible without the people.
Speaking about the criticisms he received, he responded, saying that those who criticise him do so for the sake of it and will continue doing so. He added, "The gathering today is out of mutual love, and we must be clear about our purpose and stick to it."
The actor, who was last seen in Parasakthi, also revealed the progress of his next film, Seyon. He shared that the film is 60 per cent complete and that it is a combination of action and entertainment factors, and will completely cater to the fans' expectations. He added that Seyon is expected to have a Pongal 2027 release instead of the previously planned October 2026 window.
Seyon is directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, who had a successful debut with Radhika Sarathkumar-led Thaai Kizhavi. In addition to Sivakarthikeyan, the film also stars Raj B Shetty, Bhagyashri Borse, Seeman, Bala Saravanan, Arul Doss, and Singampuli.
