Recently, we reported about Mythri Movie Makers and Lokesh Kanagaraj's G Squad banner collaborating on a new project. On Friday, they revealed that it is a film, which is being directed by Vishal Venkat as well as starring Nasser, Regena Cassandrra, Ramesh Thilak, and Sreeja Ravi. Calling it "a massive collaboration," the makers disclosed that the film is in its last schedule of production.
They also dropped a video showing footage from the pooja function and fun moments from the sets. Judging by the footage, the project had commenced in June itself. It is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers in association with Lokesh Kanagaraj of G Squad. On the other hand, Pradeep Boopathi is credited as a co-producer.
The upcoming film is directed by Vishal Venkat based on a story by Hariharan Raju, with dialogues by Ashameera Aiyappan. For the uninitiated, Vishal Venkat is known for helming films such as Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal (2022), Oru Kodai Murder Mystery (2023), and Bomb (2025).
The yet-untitled upcoming film brings the director back together with Nasser after collaborations on Sila Nerangalil Sila Manidhargal and Bomb. Announcing the project through his Instagram Stories space, Vishal Venkat expressed his excitement to have it in theatres in the near future. "Can't wait for you all to witness this one on the big screen soon," Vishal wrote while expressing his gratitude to the main producers and its co-producer.
On the technical front, the film has cinematographer Selvakumar SK, composer Hesham Abdul Wahab, editor Prasanna GK, and art director Manoj Kumar K.
The makers are yet to reveal any other information about the film, including its additional cast and story. However, while announcing the film on Friday, they revealed that they would drop its title in the near future.
