Actors Vijay and Prakash Raj have been part of many memorable collaborations in films, notably Ghilli and Pokkiri. While Prakash has often praised Vijay as an actor, he has also been accused of making certain indirect digs at the superstar's entry into politics. The actor has questioned the trend of film stars foraying into politics, arguing that fame alone would not be enough to ensure power and proper governance. After the announcement of the election results, Prakash underscored the losses of K Kamaraj and former CM MK Stalin and said, "society has become fan-driven". Urging the opposition to create political awareness, he wrote, "Best wishes for the public service of those who have won to flourish."

As of writing this, there is some uncertainty over who would be the next CM of Tamil Nadu that has emerged following talks of a coalition government between DMK and AIADMK. Meanwhile, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath has asked Vijay and TVK to prove that they have received the backing of majority MLAs.

When Vijay met Rahul Gandhi years before TVK: 'His treatment surprised us'

According to the latest reports, Vijay is set to meet Rajendra Vishwanath so that he can convince the Governor that he has what it takes to form a government. An X user alleged that the Governor is "just playing games with elected MLAs" and hence, the post of a Governor has to be 'abolished'. Adding to what the user argued, Prakash said, "This Governor's behaviour is Disgusting .. unacceptable and unconstitutional. We may have differences … but Vijay has got the mandate . He should be allowed to claim his right on the floor of the house."

Earlier, Prakash reposted journalist Rajdeep Sardesai's post, questioning the Governor's approach to the sensitive issue. The post read, "Why is the TN governor (a senior BJP leader from Goa) keeping TVK's Vijay waiting when no other party has staked claim to form a government? What 'game' is being played in Chennai?"
