It is Ajith Kumar's birthday this Friday, and fans and his peers in the industry are sending their best wishes to him. Some are also sharing throwback videos featuring Ajith. In one such video, the actor spoke about the pearls of wisdom he received from Rajinikanth.
One of Ajith's most popular films is Billa, itself a remake of the 1980 Rajinikanth starrer of the same name. The film raised AJith's popularity by leaps and bounds across India and ended a mini slump for him at the box office. Interestingly, it led to multiple comparisons between the different versions of the same film, including the two Don films in Hindi, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, respectively.
Ajith was told to be vary of these opinions at the time. "According to me, this remake of Billa is a tribute to Rajini sir," said the actor before confirming that it starred him as a fan of the Superstar. Ajith also revealed the pieces of advice he received from Rajinikanth while doing the film. The Superstar told him that there would be many expectations from him going forward and many comparisons between them. "He also said, 'Don't do anything with a light-hearted mindset but rather take a serious, focussed approach.' With Billa, we've done just that."
Ajith Kumar also said that you could learn how to handle success from Rajinikanth, suggesting that one could easily allow success to get into their head back then. "After meeting him, I learnt how to talk to and interact with people," Ajith added.
Last seen in Good Bad Ugly, Ajith is set to reunite with the same GBU filmmaker, Adhik Ravichandran, for another film soon.
