Actor-director Ken Karunaas's Youth is running successfully in theatres, having received positive responses from critics. Following its success in Tamil, the film is now being prepared for a Telugu release to reach a broader audience. The cast of the film includes Anishma Anilkumar, Meenakshi Dinesh, Priyanshi Yadav, Abison Thevarasa, Karen Vincent, Devadarshini, and Suraj Venjaramoodu, among others. It has music composed by GV Prakash.

Meanwhile, in a recent conversation with Cinema Vikatan, GV Prakash talked about facing rejection for the Youth song 'Mutta Kalakki' initially. "When we first approached a label for it, they offered us a very low price because the hero was a debutant. Even though I composed the music, they looked down on the project since the film has a 'young boy' as the lead. Usually, when you work with big stars, the price goes up two or threefold, but they underrated us significantly. They even said things like, 'There won't be be any viral songs in this film.' Because of that, I decided to release it through my own label."

The music director added, "The very first song became a viral hit and has now reached almost 60 million views. They completely underrated both the film and the album. Interestingly, one of the labels that rejected us came back and offered five times more than their initial quote to acquire it. However, we stood our ground and told them we wouldn't give it to them.”

In our Youth movie review, Avinash Ramachandran wrote, "As we walk out of the theatres, we are given a chance to reminisce on our own school lives that were filled with random conversations, first brushes with love, issues that meant the world back then, and of course, heartbreaks."
